Ruby Hammerwacker is a charlatan by trade and by instinct, a quick-fingered rogue who survives by hiding behind jokes, fake names, and borrowed identities. She always has a quip ready, especially when the moment least calls for one, and keeps a small collection of holy symbols on her person, praying to whichever god seems most likely to listen that day.Around town, she’s a familiar nuisance under several aliases, convinced that stealing is the only thing she’s truly good at. Beneath the humor and bravado is a woman terrified of vulnerability. She never jokes about the heist that went wrong, the one where a friend died because of her mistake, and no matter how fast she runs, that guilt keeps pace.
